In cooperation with the magazine World of Industry, we bring you a complete ranking of the 100 largest German industrial companies.
Despite the current economic stagnation, Germany remains the largest trading partner of Czech companies. Therefore, it was worth investigating which industrial companies are currently setting the tone there.
How we compiled the ranking
When creating the ranking, we used the functions of the Intedat application , which are also available to our clients. We proceeded as follows:
- We focused on German industrial companies according to the relevant NACE sectors.
- We worked with unconsolidated turnover for 2023.
- We ranked the companies by turnover from the highest value.
The ranking was published in the magazine World of Industry 6/2024.
And the leaders of German industry are…
It is perhaps not surprising that despite the turbulence of recent years, the automotive sector remains a key sector in Germany. The imaginary podiums were occupied by Volkswagen (turnover of €322.3 billion), BMW (€155.5 billion) and Mercedes-Benz (€153.2 billion).
The “potato” position is occupied by the Robert Bosch concern, which is, among other things, a major producer of car parts. And in sixth place we find another car manufacturer, AUDI .
Companies from the following areas are also significantly represented:
- electrical industry (5th place: Siemens – 77.8 billion euros)
- chemical industry (7th place: BASF – 68.9 billion euros)
- pharmaceutical industry (9th place: Bayer – 47.6 billion euros)
