If we had to pick one feature of Intedat that our clients really loved, it would be this one. Mirror selection is one of the fastest and easiest ways to find ideal clients and suppliers.

When will the mirror selection come in handy for you?
You can use the mirror selection when looking for new customers and suppliers in the following situations, for example:
- You have invested in expanding production and are looking for additional customers for your products.
- Your cooperation with your previous important client or supplier has slowed down and you are looking for a replacement.
- You want to diversify your client portfolio in order to minimize the risks associated with a possible economic crisis.
Thanks to the mirror selection, you don’t have to think about the different fields in which your future business partners can work. Just know who your ideal client/supplier is (either real or “dream”). Intedat will take care of the rest.
How mirror selection works
You don’t have to worry about any complicated procedures. Applying mirror selection is a matter of literally a few clicks.
First, general instructions:
- In the Intedat application, click on “Add companies”.
- You choose “Select criteria”.
- On the “Activities” tab, select “Activities by ID”.
- You enter the ID number or name of your ideal client/supplier.
- From the list of activities, you tick all those that are relevant to you.
- You will be shown the number of companies that are engaged in these activities.
- You can sort these companies using other criteria (size, type, location, etc.)
- You save your selection.
And now a concrete example:
Let’s say that you are engaged in the custom production of engineering parts and the prototype of your ideal client is TATRA TRUCKS as
You then create a mirror selection as follows:
- Select Add companies / Select criteria / Activities / Activities by ID.
- You enter either the name of the company TATRA TRUCKS as or its ID number, i.e. 01482840 .
- You will see over 20 fields in which the company operates.
- From them you select the ones that are relevant to you – they can be “Internal combustion engines” , “Trucks” and ” Truck spare parts”.
- Subsequently, you can either save all 358 companies that operate in these fields, or narrow down the selection by, for example, location or company size.
The choice is made – what next?
For selected companies, you will have available not only general information, but also an overview of competent persons , often including direct contacts . So if you have your own traders, you can simply approach these companies.
