Short answer: Yes.

A slightly longer answer: Yes, definitely. If a company is dependent for its existence on one industry, or even on one customer, it is likely to get into big trouble in times of crisis.

Suppliers in the automotive industry, who are also experiencing difficult times in 2023, know this. These include caused:

  • production shutdowns in car factories
  • a huge increase in the prices of materials and energy
  • pressure on wage growth
