Festool s.r.o. is the Czech production plant of the German brand Festool, one of the best-known manufacturers of professional power tools for tradespeople. The company was founded in 1991 as NAREX Česká Lípa a.s.; after being renamed Protool, it has been called Festool s.r.o. since 2014 and belongs to the German group TTS Tooltechnic Systems.
Among the production sites that Festool presents on its website, the plant in Česká Lípa is the only one outside Germany. The company states that it works with the same processes and quality standards as the German factories, in line with the brand’s aim of guaranteeing identical quality at all production sites according to the “Made in Germany” standard.
The brand does not build on individual machines but on a complete system: tools, dust extraction, guide rails, the Systainer transport and storage system and the 18 V battery platform are developed to fit together. For trade businesses, this means they can gradually expand their equipment within a single compatible system.
On the Czech and Slovak markets, Festool sells through a network of authorised dealers; sales, customer service and repairs are handled by the sister company Festool CZ s.r.o., which is based at the same address as the production plant.
